Get ready, the school bells are about to start

Get ready, the school bells are about to start

School bells up and down the country are beginning to ring, signalling the start of a new school year.

In the lead up to the first day of term there is always so much to be done – and Bethlehem Town Centre has everything to help you do it quickly and easily so you’ve got more time for those last few lazy days at the beach.

Get the essentials right

The first cab off the rank for back to school is usually the stationery list. All your stationery needs can be sorted at Paper Plus Bethlehem, and they’ve got a great range of fun extras to add a bit of personality to this year’s school supplies.

Exercise books from under $1:

Smudge stationary buy one get one free:

Water bottles (sipper, insulated, glass, or plastic), and lunchboxes (soft, hard, bento, or traditional), can be a tricky to get right. Kmart has you covered for all eventualities with drink bottles starting from as little as $1. Nice one!

Filling the lunchbox

Now you’ve got the lunchbox bought and ready, it’s time to think about what to put in it. We know filling lunch boxes with delicious (and nutritious!) food isn’t always a fun job, but Countdown have an entire recipe section on their website dedicated to fresh lunchbox ideas.  These Apricot Almond and Orange bliss balls are easy to whip together, delicious to eat, and you can pop them in the freezer to last a bit longer - or keep them out of sight!

The finishing touch

The holidays are a great excuse to let the kids skip their regular haircuts and get delightfully dishevelled, but back to school means stopping by for a quick tidy up at Just Cuts – you don’t even need an appointment, just pop in when you’re doing the rest of your shopping. Job done!

And relax…

Once the kids are safely dropped to school, it’s time for parents and caregivers to grab a well-deserved coffee in peace at The Coffee Club or Columbus Coffee hit the gym at Jetts, or let the talented team at Rodney Wayne or Vivo sort out your hair.

Once again the year has started, school is back, and routines are returning to our lives.  With a little bit of preparation, and the incentive of a break for parents and caregivers, the first day of school doesn’t need to be hard.

Although if you’re missing that holiday feeling, the team at the Flight Centre or You Travel can always help with that.

All the best with your prep. We’ll be here when you need us.

Love,

Bethlehem Town Centre
