Spring - Key trends for 2016

It really is time to do away with the thermals and I for one, couldn’t be happier about it!

What a breath of fresh air popping into Bethlehem Town Centre and seeing all the spring fashion arriving in stores. It’s definitely warming up in the Bay - and what a perfect time for to fresh your wardrobe.

Whether it be some on-trend pieces or some more long term investment pieces that last you forever - here’s some key looks to look out for this season.

Pops of floral.

Think soft pinks, citrus and yellow prints which mimic nature in their prettiness.  In light cottons or flowing fabrics like silk. Layer on their own or with statement colours underneath for those cooler spring days.

George Edward have a gorgeous range of spring colours in store and these Island Rose silk tie pants from OBI are a stand out!

Key colours for spring are blues - in al their shades particulary cobalt, matisse blue or crisp navy.

Jane Daniels Cut It Out dress in Italian Knit - $425.00

Denim never goes out of style and spring is no exception!

Time to say goodbye to the heavy blue denims and update your look with something lighter - think whites, linens or chambray in shirts, skirts or jeans - or even better together! This is a very relaxed weekend look and matches well with trainers or espadrilles.  Perfect for standing sideline at spring sport or for a weekend brunch.

Wild South textured skirt in linen/cotton.  A casual skirt with a shaped hem for an up-to-date look $59.90

K Mart multi zip ankle grazer jeans at a great price of $25.00

Here in the Bay we are right at home with nautical and stripes are here to stay.   Navy or black with white are the key colours for stripes with patterns either thick or thin - or both!     Stripes are a fresh change from winter and will take you through the day and on to spring evenings or weekends.  You can’t go wrong if you pair with denim - two key looks nailed!

Caroline Eve

Viscose 3/4 Sleeve Tunic $49.99 - scoop neck with lace up details - great with jeans

K Mart

T - shirt dress $12.00 affordable and cheerful cotton to take you from the

back yard to the beach.

Jane Daniels Riviera Dress in Irish Linen $645.00

The Cut Out

A peep of the shoulder is a key look this spring.  The Cold Shoulder is another term for this look and you can see why!  Look for tops and dresses with a hint of the shoulder showing - such a modern look for spring.

Featured here are a couple of cut out looks mixed with stripes - two key trends!

Urban Vogue

Cooper St Keep It Together Stripe Midi Dress $225.00.  This would be a classic piece that would last you through summer too. Great with trainers for a more casual look.

   Caroline Eve - Stripes Tunic

$39.99 - a great look with jeans or a denim skirt!

Good luck with your wardrobe update - there’s plenty of inspiration at Bethlehem Town Centre.

TIP - Allow yourself plenty of ‘me’ time when shopping to update your look - and if you’re having trouble mixing and matching, just ask for a little help in store!
